Scenic adventures
New Zealand has perfect national parks as well as wildlife that you can enjoy to see as a family, you can get to the parks and letthe family roam about as they have good times and fresh breathes to gulp. Some of these family oriented national parks include nelson lakes, Tongariro national park, Fiord land, Mt springs, and Arthurs pass, Mount Cook and Nelson Lakes. You can also take them for some great walks like Tongarinonorthern circuit,Waikaremoana Track and Abel Tasman Coast Track. Most of these tracks however require excellent physical fitness. From there you can decide to stay overnight in a campsite as a family, other scenic place you can also get to are Mace town, Skippers and Lord of Rings filming location.
Wildlife Parks and Zoos
Children love wildlife and in New Zealand there are too many ways that you can enjoy wildlife. You can first getto the Zoo, its important you first check their calendar of events so that you don’t miss out the animal shows. Zoo animal shows are quite interesting and at times, they include audience participation, animal demonstrations and keeper chats. You can get to Kiwi valley, Auckland Zoo, Wellington Zoo, Willowbank Wildlife reserve, Oriana Wildlife Park, Kiwi Encounter; Rainbow springs Nature Park and Nelson nature land Zoological Park among others.
Aquariums
Aquariums are also another great place to take your family, there, they will love to watch the training sessions as well as the aquarists training and feeding the sea animals. You can get nice pictures near some underwater animals that your family will love to identify with. You can get your family and family to know wildlife on a wildlife cruise, they will get to observe great animals like seals, albatross, penguins, dolphins and whales. Museums are always children delight, they offer myriad of activities as well as hand on opportunities where the family can unleash their imagination and creativity. Get the family to different museums as they feature different themes and galleries that range from arts, world culture, history and natural sciences. Major museums of New Zealand are Cantebury museum, Otago museum and Auckland Museum.
